The short answer: Ladies Day is a women-only wellness experience at Perfect Full Body Wellness Spa in Owensboro, Kentucky. It runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Arrive any time during those hours, complete our 45-minute Wellness Circuit — light movement, a private infrared sauna session with red light, and cooling recovery — and stay as long as you'd like. No appointment pressure. No rush. Just you and about an hour of quiet.
If you've been curious but not quite sure what to expect, here's the honest version.
Why We Started Ladies Day
The idea came from something guests kept telling us.
Women would come in, love the circuit, and then say some version of: "I wish I could bring my mom," or "Is it quieter on certain days?" or "I just want to do this without feeling like I'm performing."
So we set aside three days a week — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — and reserved the whole facility for women only. Same circuit, same private rooms, but with a little more space to breathe.
It's not about excluding anyone. It's about creating one specific window where you don't have to think about anything except how your body feels.
What Ladies Day Is — and What It Isn't
We're a different kind of wellness spa, so it's worth being direct about this.
Ladies Day is:
- A women-only wellness and recovery experience
- Light aerobic movement — total self-paced
- Private infrared sauna therapy with medical-grade 660nm red light
- Controlled cooling recovery
- Relaxation and wellness benefits, in a calm private setting
Ladies Day is not:
- A traditional day spa — no robes, no cucumber slices
- Massage therapy — we don't do hands-on treatment at all
- A medical clinic
- A weight-loss center
- A gym membership facility
There's no membership. No contract. No one hovering over you. You book a session, you come in, you go through the circuit, you leave feeling better.
"It's not about excluding anyone. It's about creating a window where you don't have to think about anything except how your body feels."
The Wellness Circuit, Phase by Phase
Ladies Day runs on the same 45-minute circuit we use every day — Move, Heat, Recover. Here's what each phase actually feels like.
Phase 1 — Move
Your session starts with gentle aerobic movement, and I do mean gentle. You choose from:
- An exercise bike
- A rowing machine
- A walking station
Set the resistance and pace to whatever feels easy. The goal is to get your circulation moving and your muscles warmed up so the heat phase lands better. You should finish this phase feeling awake, not winded.
Most women take it easier than they expected to. That's exactly right.
Hydrate here. Take a few sips while you move.
Phase 2 — Heat
This is the one you came for. Staff walks you to your own private infrared sauna room — either a single-person room or a two-person room, depending on what you booked.
Inside, you'll find full-spectrum infrared heat panels and medical-grade 660nm red light. You sit or recline. That's the whole instruction.
It feels different than you probably expect. A traditional sauna blasts you with hot air the second you walk in. Infrared is gentler — the air stays around 110–140°F instead of 150–195°F. You warm up gradually, and about five minutes in, you realize your shoulders have loosened and you're genuinely warm without that hot-air-in-the-lungs feeling.
A few things worth knowing:
- The air is dry, not humid
- You can breathe easily
- You'll sweat, but typically less than in a traditional sauna
- You can sit up, recline, or read
- Nobody's timing you
If you start feeling lightheaded or too warm, step out. There's no penalty for that.

Phase 3 — Recover
After the sauna, you move to our cooling room, held steady between 66°F and 68°F.
This is the phase first-timers underestimate — and the one they talk about afterward. It's not a cold plunge. It's a gradual, comfortable transition that lets your body come back down after the heat. Your skin cools, your head clears, and by the end you feel genuinely reset instead of overheated and wrung out.
About 15 minutes. That's it. Then you're done with the circuit.

Who Comes to Ladies Day
Honestly? Everyone.
Athletes and weekend warriors — women who train hard and want a recovery routine that actually fits their week.
Busy professionals — an hour that belongs to you, not to your calendar.
Moms and caregivers — the people who spend all day taking care of everyone else and needed one thing that was just for them.
Women managing stiffness and everyday aches — sore shoulders, tight backs, joints that don't move like they used to.
Friends, sisters, and mothers and daughters — our private two-person sauna rooms were made for this. Come together and warm up side by side.
Women who just need quiet — because sometimes the only goal is not having anyone need anything from you for 45 minutes.
Tips for Your First Ladies Day
- Arrive a few minutes early. Fifteen minutes gives you room to check in, change, and settle without rushing. Rushing into a sauna is the opposite of the point.
- Take the movement phase easier than you think. It's activation, not training. If you're huffing when you step off the bike, dial it back next time.
- Drink more water than feels necessary. You're losing fluid across all three phases. Front-load it.
- Don't skip the cooling room. It's tempting to head straight to the shower after the sauna. The cooling phase is what makes the whole thing feel complete — and it's the reason you leave refreshed instead of wiped out.
- Bring a friend if it's your first time. We have three private two-person infrared sauna rooms, so you can go through it together. First visits are easier with company.
- Come back within a week if you can. The women who see the clearest benefit are the ones who make it a routine rather than a one-off.
What to Bring
- A water bottle — hydration matters across all three phases
- Comfortable clothing you can move in
- A change of clothes — helpful if you have plans afterward
- A towel — Or use ours, which we provide
Leave the rest at home. We have lockers, changing areas, and showers.
One health note: If you're pregnant, have a heart condition, take medications that affect sweating or blood pressure, or have any other health concern, please talk to your doctor before booking. Our staff can answer questions about the facility, but we don't give medical advice.
